President's Report

Welcome to the New Year Southern Lehigh Dems!
We have a lot of work to do this year and I hope you are ready to get into action. The natural instinct for many of us in our cold gray winters here in Pennsylvania is to stay home and huddle up, but we have a country to save! And dues to pay! See below!
Please plan to attend our kick-off meeting on Tuesday, January 13 at Inspire, the Coopersburg Community Center, 538 Thomas Street, Coopersburg. Meeting will start at 6:30, but soup and social time will be at 5:45 PM. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to bring a crock pot of soup or help out. We’ll be talking about candidates and what SLDC will be doing during the primary. Please bring your ideas. Our group works best when we get together and listen to each other. Candidates are welcome and are invited to network and talk.
District 7 House candidate websites can be found here: Southern Lehigh Democrats - Candidate Information Spring 2026 We’ll update other candidates' information as soon as we get it, so check back!
Our primary this May 19th will see candidates for Governor and PA State Senate and House, and our local Precinct Committee People (PCP). We’re looking for people who vote at Bible Fellowship Church, DeSales University and Lower Milford Township to run for PCP and hope that the current PCP’s at our other precincts will run for re-election. PCP’s are the first rung on the leadership ladder of the Democratic Party and primary contact with voters. Learn more about the role here. Let’s keep on making our party better! Contact [email protected] for more information.
Good news!
All of our candidates who won elections in November have been sworn in and have started working for us. See the pictures here Southern Lehigh Democrats - Photo Gallery And while you are there, look at our Blue Women’s walking group – We’re starting our fourth year of walking every Wednesday!
Here is a new way to canvass. Ground Truth - Voters are feeling disenfranchised and not heard by candidates. Ground Truth canvassing is a method where we talk to more voters and pass on their feelings directly to the candidates. (See dates below.) Thanks go to:

Many thanks to our hosts Donna and Dave S for opening their home for the end of year holiday event. We had a chance to connect with each other as well as meet and speak with candidates running for US Federal, PA State and PA Representative positions. There was lots of good food and great dialogue.
Additional thanks go to Ken and Patti M for an end of year donation. We are grateful.
